🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1954, several UFO sightings in Long Beach, California, caught the attention of military authorities. A witness described a red, elongated object about 10 feet long, observed for five minutes. Although initially considered a jet aircraft, the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation.
A few days later, another report detailed a yellow object that changed shape from round to cigar-like and moved slowly from northeast to east. Observers noted no apparent speed and that the weather conditions did not support a conventional explanation. Finally, investigators concluded it was likely a balloon, though other possibilities were not ruled out.
