🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1954, a civilian officer in the Cape Province, South Africa, observed an unidentified object for seven minutes. The object was semi-circular with a domed top, the same size as a balloon. It was white, left no trail, and made no sound. While tracking a balloon with a theodolite, the officer was drawn to the object's reflected light. It moved slowly from west to east and then turned north. Despite a detailed observation, the object could not be identified.
Possible explanations considered included balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon, but none were confirmed. The report, extracted from a classified document, remains unresolved. This case is another example of the mysteries surrounding UFO sightings, where even with tools like a theodolite, the truth remains in the air.
