🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1955, a boat captain in Boyinta Beach, Florida, observed a luminous object that caught attention due to its color changes. The object appeared as a red light that transformed into a whitish blue and then into a greenish blue. It remained stationary at an altitude between 750 and 1000 feet for 15 minutes. Despite the duration of the observation, no photographs were taken and no radar data was recorded. The report concluded that there was insufficient information to determine whether it was a balloon, an astronomical phenomenon, or something else.
Weather data indicated strong winds at high altitudes, which could have affected the object's perception. However, the fact that it remained still suggested to investigators that it might be an astronomical phenomenon. Although other possibilities, such as a balloon or an aircraft, were considered, no definitive conclusion was reached. The civilian witness's testimony, combined with the lack of additional details, left this case unresolved.
