Summary

In January 1955, a pilot observed a circular, white object with no visible features at high altitude over Fuju, Japan. The object was seen for six minutes and estimated to be between 45,000 and 52,000 feet, above the observing aircraft flying at 37,000 feet. Initially thought to be a balloon, its movement seemed to contradict known wind patterns. The available footage was of poor quality, showing only a bright blob in a few frames, which did not allow for a conclusive evaluation.

The lack of visual details and the inability to identify the object with certainty led to the conclusion that there was insufficient data to determine its nature. The report, classified under ATIC number 209035, was filed without a definitive resolution. This case, like many others, reflects the difficulty researchers face in identifying unidentified aerial objects based on limited observations and low-quality recordings.
