Summary

In February 1955, a Navy officer observed a mysterious object near Miramar NAS while driving. He noticed an object falling behind a FJ3 aircraft, initially thinking it was a part of the plane. However, the object descended erratically with a shiny surface reflecting sunlight. Suddenly, it changed to a reddish color and accelerated rapidly, leaving a brown vapor trail.
