🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1955, a witness in Long Beach, California, reported a round object with a tail. Authorities considered several possibilities, including a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. Although there were no photos or radar confirmation, the report aligned with an aircraft's path. The observation was brief and could not be evaluated with certainty.
The lack of precise data and the ambiguity of the conclusions reflect the difficulty investigators of the time had in classifying unconventional aerial phenomena. Despite the limitations, the case was filed as likely an aircraft, but other explanations were not ruled out.
