🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1955, a civilian pilot observed a round and shiny object above Dobbins AFB in Georgia. The object remained stationary for two hours, after which part of its structure disintegrated and the remaining portion took on a red color on top and green with flashing red lights on the bottom. Despite its unusual appearance, investigators concluded it was likely a weather balloon, specifically the "Moby Dick Balloon," which was later confirmed. The pilot, an experienced observer, described the phenomenon in detail, adding credibility to the sighting. The official report classified it as a possible balloon, emphasizing the importance of considering conventional explanations before assuming anything extraordinary.
