🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1955, multiple witnesses in Bowling Green, Kentucky, observed 6 to 8 orange, circular objects arranged in a V formation, followed by 1 or 2 more. The objects left vapor trails and were seen moving from west to east for about 45 minutes. While the formation resembled typical aerial refueling patterns, investigators considered the possibility of aircraft, balloons, or astronomical bodies. No definitive conclusion was reached.
The case was documented under Project 10073 by the Air Force. Despite a detailed sighting and prolonged observation, there were no photos or radar data to confirm the nature of the objects. Witnesses were civilians, and no military personnel were involved. The ambiguity of the report highlights the challenges of interpreting unusual aerial phenomena with limited data during that era.
