Summary

In February 1955, a group of civilians and military personnel in Pacific Beach, California, observed nine unidentified aerial objects. The objects appeared in five distinct formations, with oval shapes and a slightly blue color. They had no trails or tails, initially leading observers to think they were jet aircraft, but their speed seemed too fast for conventional planes. One formation was a "V" shape with three objects. Although jet aircraft were in the air at the time, a positive identification could not be made.

A phone call to one member of the group confirmed the initial report but provided no additional information. Checks with a local observatory and weather stations found no astronomical or meteorological activity that could explain the sighting. Authorities could not determine the nature of the objects with certainty, and the possibility of aircraft was considered but not confirmed. The case remains unresolved, adding to the mystery of UFO sightings from that era.
