🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, an American Airlines pilot reported a long object without contrails while flying near Las Vegas, Nevada. The sighting occurred approximately 50 miles away, and the pilot noted that the object changed position without apparent change in altitude. Despite optimal weather conditions with unlimited visibility, the object could not be identified. The report, though detailed, lacked sufficient data for a conclusive evaluation.
The absence of photographs and the inability to obtain additional information from the pilot contributed to the case remaining unresolved. Several forms were sent to the witness, but no further responses were received. This incident, like many from the era, highlights the difficulty investigators faced in obtaining clear answers about unidentified flying objects. Although no concrete explanation was reached, the testimony of an aviation professional adds credibility to the case.
