In March 1955, multiple witnesses in New York observed a luminous object near the George Washington Bridge. A housewife and two marines described it as a flickering white light the size of a baseball. An air force pilot concluded it was a reflection of searchlights on a cloud layer. The confusion remained, but no images or conclusive data were recorded.
A second sighting was reported by an elderly woman, who observed a white oval object. Although no drastic changes were noted, investigators considered it could be a balloon or an astronomical phenomenon. The records do not provide further details, but highlight searchlight activity and low cloud cover as possible explanations.
