🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, a housewife and two marines observed an object near the George Washington Bridge. They described a flickering white light, about the size of a baseball held at arm's length, moving at high speed. The sighting lasted approximately five minutes and no photos were taken.
An investigation suggested the object might have been spotlight activity, confirmed by a pilot who noticed similar lights in the area. While other explanations were not ruled out, the most likely conclusion pointed to artificial illumination.
