🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, a round red object was observed over Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. The report notes that the object made no sound and was seen twice. During the second sighting, it appeared compact rather than homogeneous. The object was moving northwest and reappeared from the southeast before disappearing. Although a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon were considered, the data was insufficient for a clear evaluation. The description was vague, and neither the duration of each observation nor specific maneuvers were detailed.
