🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, a witness in Redwood Valley, California, described a round, silver object moving southward with a jet-like sound. The object, the size of a silver dollar held at arm's length, was observed for three minutes before disappearing. Although initially considered possibly a jet aircraft—specifically a B-47—the lack of photographs and the detailed description of the witness add an air of mystery to this case. The official report suggested it could be an aircraft, but the object's description and behavior didn't fully align with conventional expectations.
This case is part of a series of 1950s UFO reports where witnesses often confused unidentified objects with planes or balloons. However, in this instance, the temporal coincidence with a B-47 in the area didn't fully resolve the uncertainty. The description of the object as round, bright, and with an unusual trajectory suggests it might have been something beyond a conventional aircraft. Although the object was never conclusively identified, the witness's testimony and the lack of a clear explanation make this an intriguing case for UFO researchers.
