🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Burbank, California, reported in 1955 a very large orange and red object moving across the sky toward the southeast and disappearing. The sighting lasted only three seconds and was observed through binoculars. Although balloon and aircraft explanations were ruled out, investigators considered the possibility of an astronomical event, such as a meteor. The brevity of the sighting limited further investigation, and it was concluded that there was insufficient data for a definitive evaluation.
