🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, a witness in San Francisco sighted a round pinkish-orange object moving from northwest to northeast. The observation lasted about 20 seconds, and the object disappeared without the observer seeing it vanish. Fog impaired visibility, and the report suggested it could be a jet's afterburner. Although no official investigation was authorized, the description and brevity of the sighting sparked curiosity. Around the same time, another report from France described a red and yellow object that hovered in the sky for 15 minutes before disappearing, also ignored by authorities. These cases reflect the confusion and mystery surrounding UFO sightings in the 1950s.
