🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1955, in Colorado Springs, a group of children witnessed a bright purple object that rapidly descended, touched the ground, and disappeared instantly. The object emitted a humming sound and appeared like a fireball. The sighting lasted several seconds.
An official investigation revealed that at the time of the sighting, there was a power outage. Police found a burned conduit near the witness's home, which appeared to have been thrown across a high-voltage line. It was concluded that the children had thrown the conduit, causing a short circuit that generated the fireball. Although the official report closed the case, the description of the phenomenon remains intriguing.
