A UFO sighting in St. Johns, Newfoundland, took place on April 18, 1955, when a civilian reported seeing a light moving west to east at around 5000 feet. The observation was made visually, with no photographs or physical evidence. Interestingly, it was linked to a test flight of a C-124, where an external light was attached to the engine to aid observation from the aircraft's interior. Although it initially appeared to be an unidentified object, the report concluded it was an aircraft, highlighting the importance of considering routine aerial activities when interpreting sightings.
