Summary

In April 1955, civilian observers in Kisarazu, Japan, spotted an egg-shaped object with a tail. The object was approximately 30-40 cm in diameter and 90-120 cm in length. It had a blue-white color with a red area at the rear and emitted red or red-yellow exhaust, appearing to be on fire. The sighting lasted between 3 and 5 seconds, with the object maintaining straight and level flight before fading away. Although considered a possible meteor, the detailed description and combustion-like appearance generated some intrigue.

Weather conditions at the time were stable with moderate winds and partly cloudy skies. The observers, local civilian guards, reported the incident accurately, though no photographs were taken. The official conclusion leaned toward an astronomical phenomenon, possibly a meteor, but the detailed testimony and the object's appearance suggest it might have been something unusual.
