In April 1955, a seven-year-old boy in Hollywood, California, observed six silver objects the size of a pea held at arm's length. The objects appeared suddenly and vanished within five seconds. Due to the age of the observer and the brief nature of the sighting, authorities deemed further investigation unnecessary. The lack of photos and the fleeting nature of the event led to the conclusion that there was insufficient data to determine if it was a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon.

A second report, dated April 1955, describes a single white oval object moving very fast and very high over Hollywood. It was observed for 45 seconds and disappeared along a straight path toward the northwest. Although an aircraft was considered a possibility, no further investigation was authorized due to the lack of concrete data. Both cases reflect the difficulty of evaluating UFO sightings when the available information is limited.
