Unidentified Flying Objects over Keflavík Airport

Summary

In May 1955, two U.S. Air Force officers at Keflavík Airport in Iceland observed a formation of unidentified flying objects. The objects appeared as silver-gray spheres, moving at high speed with erratic motions. One left a brief smoke trail before disappearing behind clouds. Although several explanations were considered, such as balloons or aircraft, the witnesses agreed it was none of these. The description of the objects as translucent and of uncertain size adds mystery to the event. The report concluded that the nature of the objects could not be identified.
