🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1955, a witness in Long Beach, Mississippi, observed a formation of 9 or 10 dimly glowing lights moving at high speed. The phenomenon was described as a slowly changing arc with a straight and level course to the south. The sighting lasted between 15 and 20 seconds, and no aircraft were reported in the area at the time. Investigators considered possible explanations such as sky reflections of lights or meteor activity, but none were confirmed. Due to the lack of concrete data, the report concluded that an evaluation could not be made with certainty.
The official Project 10073 report included several conflicting observations and illegible fragments, further complicating interpretation. Despite investigations, no logical explanation for the phenomenon was found. The report also noted that this was not the first sighting in the area, raising some concern among investigators. Ultimately, it was concluded that the data was insufficient for a definitive evaluation.
