In May 1955, an observer in Little Falls, New Jersey, spotted a luminous object that appeared to have the shape of Jupiter, but much brighter. The witness, a former pilot with experience in celestial observations, was using a telescope when he noticed the object. He described a yellowish white light moving silently and without a trail, at an estimated speed of over 500 miles per hour.
