🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1955, a witness in Orville, California, observed a round, silver-colored object the size of a silver dollar held at arm's length. The object remained completely stationary for five seconds before fading from view. The description is clear, but there were no photos or additional data to confirm its nature. Due to the brevity of the observation and the possibility that it was a balloon, investigators concluded there was insufficient information for a conclusive evaluation.
The case was archived without further investigation. Despite the object showing no movement or typical aircraft behavior, the lack of technical or secondary data meant the report remained unresolved. This type of testimony offers an interesting insight into how sightings were handled in the 1950s, when methodology and resources were limited.
