🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1955, at Norton Air Force Base in California, three spherical objects were observed in a "V" formation. The witnesses, who were watching two flights of jet fighters, saw the objects change from silver-gray to a fluorescent green before disappearing. Although the observation lasted only 20 to 45 seconds, the witnesses were considered highly reliable, including an experienced jet pilot. The report concluded that there was insufficient data to determine the exact nature of the objects, though it suggested they could have been solar reflections or shadows caused by weather conditions.
The Air Force base submitted the report to various intelligence divisions, but no evidence of unknown aircraft was found in the area. The weather conditions included bright sunlight, scattered clouds, and light winds, which could have contributed to optical effects. Despite the thorough investigation, the case remains unresolved, with the official conclusion that there is not enough data for a definitive evaluation.
