🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A 1955 report describes the sighting of 6 to 8 pinkish objects arranged in a "V" formation over Long Island, New York. A civilian witness observed the objects for 30 seconds, and while aircraft were considered as a possibility, there was not enough data to make a conclusive evaluation. The formation and coloration are notable features that don't easily fit conventional explanations.
The report, part of Project 10073, notes that no photos or radar were used, limiting the ability to analyze further. Despite recorded coordinates and weather data, the lack of precise information led to the case being classified as insufficient for a definitive evaluation. This kind of report reflects the ambiguity surrounding many sightings during the Cold War.
