🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1955, a U.S. Air Force officer in London reported a UFO sighting. While observing an American bomber during an exercise, he noticed a bright amber-red object moving erratically. The witness used binoculars to observe the object, described as a round, luminous disc. The object suddenly stopped, moved northward, then westward, disappearing quickly. Despite detailed description, authorities concluded it was likely a balloon or an astronomical phenomenon.
The report includes a detailed questionnaire from the witness, known for his interest in UFOs. Although the officer noted the witness was a "flying saucer enthusiast," the sighting remains intriguing due to its precise description and the object's behavior. The Air Force did not reach a definitive conclusion but ruled out the possibility of it being an aircraft or guided missile.
