🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1955, an observer at Chitose Air Base in Japan reported a mysterious object in the sky at dawn. The object appeared as a moderate white light, round in shape, with no trail or sound, and slowly ascended for 54 minutes. Despite using binoculars, the observer could not identify the object, which disappeared as the sun began to rise. The location and timing coincided with the position of Venus, raising questions about whether it was an astronomical phenomenon.
The air base sent a detailed report to several U.S. Air Force units, but there was no interception or identification. Weather data showed partially obscured conditions with limited visibility due to fog. Although possible explanations like a balloon or Venus were considered, no definitive conclusion was reached. The case remains unsolved, adding a touch of mystery to this report from over sixty years ago.
