🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1955, a witness in Ontario, California, observed a silver object with orange markings falling from the sky. The object, described as round with delta wings, moved erratically, alternating between falling and floating. The sighting lasted about two minutes and no photos were taken.
Investigators concluded there was insufficient data to determine what the object was, though they considered the possibility of it being a balloon or something released by one. Despite the classic description of the event, no further investigation was authorized. The case was closed as "possibly balloon", a common classification for reports with limited information during that era.
