🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1955, an airline pilot reported a whitish-blue object moving rapidly northeast. It had no visible lights or markings and appeared to be descending quickly. Although an astronomical explanation was considered, the lack of solid data prevented further investigation.
A few days later, two civilians observed a round silver object trailing white smoke. It was estimated to be 15–20 feet in diameter and traveling at 100 mph. Witnesses filled out questionnaires, but the official conclusion was that it could have been an aircraft. In both cases, there were no photos or radar data to confirm the nature of the sightings.
