🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Long Beach, California, reported seeing a round, red object the size of a quarter at arm's length. The object appeared on July 14, 1955, at 04:35, and was observed for five minutes. It first dropped, then ascended, and finally headed west. Although the observer did not take photos, the object's description and behavior drew attention. The air base reviewed the case and considered it could be a jet aircraft, especially due to the witness's location in an area with heavy air traffic. Additionally, no balloons were recorded in the area at the time, ruling out that possibility.
The official evaluation concluded the object was "possibly" an aircraft, though an unidentified phenomenon was not completely ruled out. The report reflects the typical uncertainty of many sightings, where observation conditions and lack of concrete evidence make a definitive classification difficult.
