🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1955, a U.S. Air Force officer in Palm Beach, Florida, reported a luminous object crossing the sky in a matter of seconds. The witness described a white light with a blue-tailed flame moving smoothly, appearing at a 10° elevation and disappearing at the same height but in the opposite direction. The observation was considered reliable, though no photographs or radar were used.
Investigators suggested it might have been a meteor, given the speed and trajectory of the object. However, the detailed description of the tail and the sudden disappearance of the object created some uncertainty. Although other explanations like balloons or aircraft were ruled out, the report did not reach a definitive conclusion. This case remains a mystery in the database of unidentified aerial phenomena.
