In July 1955, a witness in Aberdeen, Washington, spotted a balloon-shaped object floating southward. The object, the size of a medicine ball, was observed for one minute, and no photographs were taken. Although initially unusual, investigators concluded it was likely a balloon. The area has numerous balloon launch sites, especially to the north, supporting this explanation. The report does not mention aircraft or astronomical phenomena, reducing the likelihood of other explanations.
