🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1955, a witness in Van Nuys, California, observed a mysterious object during daylight. It was an elliptical, silvery object, about the size of a nickel at arm's length, moving from north to south at a speed faster than a jet. The sighting lasted between ten and fifteen seconds, and although the witness did not take photos, they provided a clear description of the object. The lack of photographic evidence and the brevity of the observation led to doubts about its nature.
Investigators concluded that there was not enough information to evaluate the phenomenon with certainty. Possible explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were considered but none confirmed. Like many cases from that era, this one reflects the difficulty of identifying sky objects without additional data. Despite the years that have passed, it remains an unsolved mystery.
