🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1955, a witness in Pittsburgh observed a round, light-colored object at an approximate altitude of 200 feet. The object remained stationary during the time it was reported. Although the sighting was noted as possibly a star or planet, no original case file exists for a more precise evaluation. The lack of photos and additional data made it impossible to draw definitive conclusions.
Researchers considered the possibility of a balloon, especially due to its stillness and the timing near typical balloon launch hours. However, no certainty was reached. The case remains unresolved, like many from that era, and was archived with the label "insufficient data for evaluation".
