🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a person in Danville, California, reported an unidentified flying object with a bulbous shape and ruby color. The sighting occurred at dusk and lasted less than a minute. The object passed through a 40-degree arc before fading from view. Investigators considered the possibility of a meteor or aircraft, but there was not enough information for a definitive evaluation.
An official response came years later, in 1958, when an Air Force officer acknowledged the witness's letter, but noted that investigating such an old incident was difficult. The report concluded that there was insufficient data to determine the nature of the object. Despite the lack of clear answers, the case was filed as part of the records of the time, adding a mysterious touch to this brief but intriguing sighting.
