🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a civilian in Rialto, California, reported seeing an unusual object in the sky. The sighting described a round, yellowish-white object that bobbed up and down without making any sound, visible for 10 minutes. Despite being officially reported, there were no photos or additional data to confirm its nature. The report concluded that there was insufficient information to evaluate the phenomenon. The witness, Beverly Elliott, was a 35-year-old city treasurer with a clear view of the object under calm weather conditions.
The lack of precise data and the inability to link the sighting to any known air traffic or defense activity led to a negative evaluation. This case, like many others from the time, was added to the long list of unresolved reports. Although the official report deemed it insufficient for analysis, the visual testimony and unusual behavior of the object sparked some curiosity among researchers at the time.
