In August 1955, a witness in Rialto, California observed a round, yellowish-white object moving up and down for ten minutes. The object, described as the size of a nickel at arm's length, was not photographed, but its behavior drew attention. Although a balloon was considered, other explanations were not ruled out.
The official conclusion suggested it could be a balloon, based on the description and duration of the sighting. However, the lack of concrete data and the unusual nature of the object's movement kept some mystery around the event. This case, like many from the era, reflects the difficulty of distinguishing between natural objects and unexplained phenomena.
