🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a student in Crystal, Minnesota, observed a bright yellow object with a tail that crossed the sky in just seconds. The object, described as round and glowing, appeared the size of a pea held at arm's length. As it traveled from west to east, its speed and trajectory drew attention, though no photos or radar were used.
Investigators concluded it was likely a meteor, given its rapid disappearance and the description of its trail. Although no evidence of aircraft was found in the area, balloon or conventional aerial objects were ruled out. The report, part of Project 10073, reflects the typical assessments of the time, where unidentified aerial phenomena were often attributed to natural causes.
