UFO Sighting Over Sweden

Summary

In January 1959, at least eight people observed a flying saucer over Stigsjö, Sweden. The object, round and 6 to 8 meters in diameter, approached slowly from the south at about 300 meters altitude. It had a luminous ring two meters wide and emitted a reddish yellow light from its underside. The sighting lasted around three minutes. The witnesses reported the incident to military authorities. This CIA document confirms the existence of UFO sightings in the region.
