🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a witness in North Branch, New York, observed an unidentified flying object for one and a half minutes. The object appeared as a circular shape with a blue and white glow, at an estimated altitude of 2500 feet. It had a semi-lit front and a single blinking light at the rear. Although initial reports considered the possibility of an aircraft, it could not be confirmed with certainty.
The classified report, part of Project 10073, did not include photographs or radar data, and the witness could not determine the object's direction with precision. The official conclusion was that it could possibly be an aircraft, but other possibilities were not ruled out. This case reflects the ambiguity surrounding many sightings in the 1950s, when technology and observation protocols were still in their infancy.
