🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a witness in Green Bay, Wisconsin, reported seeing several unidentified flying objects with cigar-like shapes and sizes similar to a P-40 aircraft. According to the report, the objects emitted small red streaks and did not follow a specific formation. The observation lasted between 10 and 30 seconds, and the witness described a clear visual experience despite the night conditions. The official evaluation concluded that the sighting was a hoax, likely fabricated by the witness, who also presented ceramic pieces as physical evidence. The investigation revealed that the informant had a history of reporting strange events and that the evidence had no direct connection to the sighting.
The official Air Force report classified the incident as a hoax, highlighting the lack of credibility of the witness and the fabricated nature of the testimony. Although the observer claimed to have seen a helicopter and small figures, authorities concluded there was no real evidence of an unidentified object. Additionally, investigators noted that the witness did not believe the ceramic pieces were related to the sighting, further supporting the idea that the incident was an invention. The case was filed without further action, as part of the routine investigations of the time regarding UFO sightings.
