🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1955, a civilian in Muscatine, Iowa, reported seeing an object that appeared to be a star. The witness described an object that changed color from red to green to white and moved up and down within a limited area. The observation lasted about two hours and was made using binoculars. Although no photos were taken, the report concluded it was likely a star, though no positional data was included for confirmation.
The report was reviewed by the Duty Director, who considered it a strong possibility that the object was astronomical. However, due to the lack of precise information, it could not be evaluated with certainty. The case was classified as likely a star, but the nature of the phenomenon remains intriguing for UFO researchers.
