🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1955, a witness in Spencer, Wisconsin, observed a luminous object for almost two hours. The object, initially white, turned bright orange before disappearing. It was thought to be suspended from a balloon, but wind conditions suggested it wouldn't be visible at that altitude.
Investigators concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the case. The duration of the observation and the time of the sighting led to the consideration of an astronomical body, although this was not ruled out entirely. However, precise positional data and other key details were missing, preventing a definitive assessment.
