🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1955, a farmer in LaGrand, Iowa, observed three objects with alternating red and green lights for several nights. Using binoculars, he noted they remained stationary or moved very slowly. An air technician investigated and concluded they were likely stars such as Capella, Altair, and Aldebaran. Observers didn’t take photos but described colors and positions. The investigation ruled out balloons and aircraft, attributing the phenomenon to star observation from the ground. The consistency of sightings over five nights supports this explanation.
