🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1955, an observer in Glen Burnie, Maryland, reported a mysterious aerial phenomenon with blinking lights moving northwest. The object, described as indistinct in shape and displaying red, blue, white, and green colors, was observed for about 37 minutes. The lights would shoot out of the object's sides every five seconds, without producing any sound. The official report suggested it might be the blinking navigation lights of military jets, specifically F-86 or F-94 fighters, conducting interception drills in the area. Despite investigations, no conclusive explanation was found, and witnesses could not definitively identify the object. The case highlights the confusion and uncertainty surrounding many sightings during the Cold War era.
