Summary

In 1953, an article published in an official French journal suggested that supersonic ships powered by cosmic energy could exist. This text, written by an aeronautical officer, was interpreted as a possible admission by the French Air Force of the existence of flying saucers. Additionally, in 1945, a German engineer, George Klein, described experiments with flying discs that reached extreme speeds. The Soviets captured one of these prototypes, while other researchers disappeared after the occupation of Prague. In 1954, an Italian patented a flying disc with an innovative design, although it was rejected by his country. The inventor planned to offer his invention elsewhere, and rumors suggested he was already in contact with U.S. authorities.
