In September 1955, in Lodi, Ohio, an UFO sighting was reported that left witnesses puzzled. Two people described seeing a luminous object orbiting in the sky, round in shape and blue-gray in color. One witness described it as resembling a "grapefruit" at a distance and noted two sudden explosions, similar to fireworks. Another witness, a former Air Force member, observed the object for 45 minutes and noted it followed a regular circular pattern. Initially thinking it was an airport beacon, he concluded it was not a conventional object.
