🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1955, a student in Holyoke, Massachusetts, observed a formation of spherical, silvery white objects with vapor trails. They saw between 5 and 10 objects crisscrossing the sky, suddenly stopping and making sharp turns. The report, collected by the military, included no photographs but mentioned the use of 10/50mm binoculars. Despite excellent visibility, investigators concluded it could be an aircraft, though a balloon was also considered. The case was filed without a definitive resolution.
Montauk base and other air units reviewed the report without reaching clear conclusions. Captain Hardin noted that the witness forms were not returned, limiting analysis. The unpredictable movements and zigzag patterns raised doubts about conventional explanations. Although astronomical causes were ruled out, the official report labeled it "possibly aircraft," without dismissing other possibilities.
