🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1955, a witness in Alexandria, Virginia, reported seeing two vapor trails with a steady light between them. The phenomenon crossed the sky from horizon to horizon in just 15 seconds, without making any sound. Although initially considered a possible meteor, investigators concluded it was likely a balloon. The lack of additional data made a more precise evaluation difficult, but the description suggests an unusual object that drew attention due to its speed and silence.
The case file, part of Project 10073, includes photos and a preliminary assessment that ruled out an aircraft. Despite the limitations, the civilian testimony and visual description contributed to keeping the case in the database of unexplained aerial phenomena. This type of historical record remains valuable for researchers studying UFO reports from that era.
